Before moving back to my hometown of Evergreen, Colorado, to plot world domination—I mean—my way to work at Wieden+Kennedy, I was living in San Francisco, going to school for advertising, and getting trolled by parking tickets.
Before that, I was making poor financial decisions, like buying cameras instead of food.
Before that, I went to business school. Why? To justify buying cameras over food.
Before that, I worked construction in the summers to help fund an expensive sport called skiing—the kind where you wear baggy clothes and slide down handrails. That sport took me across the world for over a decade: X Games, 2x World Championships, 40+ World Cup starts, and a world record. I didn’t make it to the Olympics, but I was part of the small athlete committee that petitioned the sport to be inducted.
Before breaking my body-yady on the ski slopes, I wanted to be an artist, a filmmaker, and a good person.
All of which are still in progress along with my physical therapy.
